Can I view the furniture before I buy?
Ans: Yes you can. We are fortunate toh ave 2 lovely showrooms one located in Auckland and one in Christchurch. Please refer to 'Contact us' for more details.In the meantime, you are welcome to ring us to check where can you view the furniture before you buy as we do have the full range of collections pre-assembled. What is your furniture made of?
Ans: All furniture at Windmill Kids is made from solid MDF that is robust, durable, chemical and toxin-free. Windmill Kids furniture is spray painted with low odour, eco-friendly water based paints. All furniture is finished with 2 topcoats to give a high quality semi-gloss or satin finish.
Our New Zealand made furniture is made out of Nz pine and finished with eco-friendly water based paints.
How do I assemble Windmill Kids furniture range?
Ans: All our furniture comes complete with assembly instructions. Further detailed instructions including easy to follow step by step guides are available to you. Please contact us if you require one of these. Due to the nature of our flat packed furniture,additional cost will apply if delivery and/or assembly is required.
Can the product be returned if I am not satisfied with it?
Ans: At Windmill Kids, we offer a 100% 90 day money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with any of our products, we ask that you contact us first by email or phone to arrange return or replacement. Please note: You may be asked to pay for the freight to get the returned pieces back to Windmill Kids. Please bare in mind that returned goods have to be in or near its original condition or it will not be accepted back. We also do not accept returns if you change your mind, so please be very mindful of this when making a decision.
How can I buy Windmill Kids furniture?
Ans: You can purchase through our online shop at www.windmillkidsfurniture.co.nz, via our showrooms and from our trade me store.
Can I customise my order?
Ans: Absolutely! You can buy items from one collection or mix and match items across a range of collections to create your own room theme, style and colours. Many of our collections are also available in Classic White for easy mix and matching.
If you have a specific colour in mind that is not one of our standard colours, please contact us. We will do our best to provide you with your own unique colourway. Bare in mind that a special order will require a 50% deposit and could take up to 90 days to arrive.
How Long do I expect to get my customised order?
Ans: It takes about 90 days in general for every customer order, although this depends on our order and stock status. If you need something sooner than this, please talk to us about your required timeframes as we will do whatever we can to meet your needs.
How does delivery and freight work and what are the costs?
Ans: We use a well established and well known New Zealand freight company called Mainfreight to freight nationwide. They delivery around the country on their own planned schedule and on varying days. We will find out costings and estimated delivery days and times but usually, they will contact you prior to delivery to arrange a convenient time for drop off at your home. Once dispatched from our showroom, delivery will normally take 2-3 working days depending on their work load.
As freight companies charges by cubic metres, it is more economic to buy a whole package instead of a single item. For example, the freight cost for a bedstand is almost equivalent to the cost to freight a bed and a desk.
For most local deliveries, we have a standard drop off charge of $30 around Christchurch Metro and $50 around Auckland Metro. Windmill kids also provide assembly services, please contact us for a specific price as they vary accordingly to the products.
